Reservation, like caste has outlived its utility in the Indian context. The widespread access of media, connectivity of the remotest places with the new road networks, and not the least the years of opporunity brought in by the flourishing economy has opened the access to resources to all people irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Reservation appears to benefit politicians more than the people who really need the help or reservation.
